As the snow goose migration draws to an end there is still some good action with a southeast breeze and migrating birds.

Juvies Are Now Mixed In With Mature Snows And Rossi's
Well with a big migration day yesterday and again today shooting is almost none stop. However as much as everyone would like to think they are stopping at Squaw Creek NWR they are not the refuge count may say there are more birds but with visual check of the refuge I can guarantee there is NOT 50,000 snow geese on it. They are on the move.

Squaw Creek Snow Goose Report
After hours and hours of windshield time and a visit to the Squaw Creek NWR there appears to be less than 50,000 snow geese in the NW Missouri and Mound City, Missouri area. It is believed that with warmer temperatures this week that new birds will filter in but it will be at least Wednesday or Thursday. The big question is will they jump a snow belt through the state of Missouri that is over 150 miles wide.
